Garbage Collection Update for Fell Township:

SUPERVISORS MEETING AGENDA FOR DECEMBER 1ST, 2025 AT 7PM:

  • The Planning Commission reviewed and approved the Minor Subdivision application of David & Deborah Karavsky / D&L Realty on 11/25/2025.  Supervisors received a letter from the Applicant requesting that the subdivision be treated as a minor subdivision rather than a major subdivision, only one lot is being created.  Supervisors to review for approval and signature on plans.
  • Fell Township has received the radar speed sign that will be being placed on Main Street/171.
  • Fell Township’s Engineering Firm has resubmitted our Application for the LSA Grant for the 44th Street / 1st District Flood Mitigation and Stormwater Project.
  • Fell Township Supervisors to Pass Ordinance number 12012025-1 adjusting the compensation of Supervisors according to the implementation of Act 94 of 2024, enacted by the Commonwealth of PA. The act adjusts the salary of Supervisors newly elected to full 6-year term.                                                               
  • Grattan Singer Hose Company holds their Monthly Breakfast on the 1st Sunday of every month.  $12.00 per adult and $8.00 for children under 10!

SUPERVISORS MEETING AGENDA FOR NOVEMBER 3RD, 2025 AT 7PM:

  • The Fell Township Zoning Hearing Board had a hearing on 10/30/2025, at 6pm to hear the Zoning Appeal for David Rupp seeking a variance for parking at 722 Morse Avenue Simpson, PA 18407. The Applicant David Rupp was granted a 90-day continuance.  The future Hearing date has not been set yet.
  • Supervisors to re-sign maps for the lot consolidation for Daniel J. Colachino Jr. 48th Street.  Maps were reviewed and approved by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 03/25/2025 and by the Fell Township Board of Supervisors on 04/07/2025. The Maps need to be re-signed with current date to be submitted to Lackawanna County by the Applicant. The Applicant did not drop off the maps within the 90 day deadline.
  • Fell Township is seeking 2 more part-time plow drivers for the Winter season. If interested, please contact Maria the Fell Township Secretary at 570-282-0321.  Plowing experience required.
  • Fell Township Supervisors had a meeting with DEP for the Belmont Dam on 10/16/2025 regarding bringing the Dam into compliance. We have retained Michael Gable as the Engineer to inspect the Dam and draft a report to submit to DEP.
  • Supervisors to review for approval 3 quotes provided by Fire Chief Saltisiak for pump rebuild and repair to the Township owned Fire Engine.  
  • Grattan Singer Hose Company holds their Monthly Breakfast on the 1st Sunday of every month.  $12.00 per adult and $8.00 for children under 10!   
  • AJ’s Bar N Grill is hosting a Fundraiser for Joseph Unis Sr. who is battling Prostate Cancer that has spread to his bones.  Joe Unis Sr. has proudly served Fell Township for 51 years.  The Fundraiser is on Sunday 11/16/2025 at AJ’S Bar N Grill from 11am-3pm. To Go Pasta Dinners and 50/50 Drawing!  There are flyers available with details!

SUPERVISORS MEETING AGENDA FOR OCTOBER 6TH, 2025 AT 7PM:

  • The Fell Township Zoning Hearing Board had a hearing scheduled on 09/10/2025, at 6pm to hear the Zoning Appeal for Anwar Kahn / ZAM ZAM Camping Grounds, LLC. The applicant has withdrawn his application.  The hearing did not take place and a new hearing date will not be scheduled.
  • Fell Township Paving has been completed by Wayco Inc.
  • Supervisors to re-sign maps for a minor subdivision for Randy Wallis, Debra James, Gary Wallis, & Jeffrey Wallis – Crystal Lake Road.  Maps were signed by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 06/24/2025 and by the Fell Township Board of Supervisors on 07/07/2025. The Maps need to be re-signed with current date to submit to Lackawanna County.
  • Fell Township Board of Supervisors to appoint Nick Colachino as an alternate for the UCC Board of Appeals for Fell Township.
  • Fell Township has had a change in its DPW personnel.  Richard Wagner Jr. and Richard Wagner Sr. have been hired to replace our previous DPW personnel.  Fell Township Supervisors to approve the pay rate of $20.00 per hour for both part-time employees for the remainder of 2025. 
  • Scott Linde of Linde International Inc. has asked to speak to the Board of Supervisors and the Public regarding the property for sale at 622 Main Street Simpson.
  • Fell Township Supervisors have a meeting with DEP regarding the Belmont Dam on 10/16/2025.

SUPERVISORS MEETING AGENDA FOR SEPTEMBER 8TH, 2025 AT 7PM:

  • The Fell Township Zoning Hearing Board had a hearing scheduled on August 6th, 2025, at 6pm to hear the Zoning Appeal for Anwar Kahn / ZAM ZAM Camping Grounds, LLC. The applicant is seeking approval for a variance to operate a commercial campground on the property located at 74 Owego Street, Simpson.  The property is situated in an R-2 Zoning district, which is designated for single-family and multi-family residential use. This hearing was continued at the Applicant’s request and has been rescheduled as advertised to Wednesday 09/10/2025 at 6pm at the Fell Township Municipal Building.
  • Fell Township received response regarding the traffic study request from LTAP which ended up only being a temporary study of Main Street / SR 171.  Township Supervisors are presently researching purchasing our own Speed Radar Sign in the near future to be able to be used not only on Main Street / SR 171 but around Fell Township.  We did attach the data that we received to this agenda for your viewing. 
  • Fell Township has agreed to participate with The Lackawanna County Commissioners, through the Department of Planning & Economic Development for a Phase 1 Scope of Study to start the process of developing a county-wide ACT 167 Stormwater Management Plan and participate in the development, adopt an ordinance consistent with the plan, and provide the name of a municipal representative that will serve on the Watershed Advisor Committee.  Fell Township Board of Supervisors have designated Joseph Unis Jr.  Memorandum of Agreement to be approved and signed at the meeting. 
  • Fell Township Paving will be completed by 09/30/2025 on Hillside Street, Ontario Street, Maple Street, & Fulton Street.

  • The Fell Township Zoning Hearing Board had a scheduled hearing on July 16th, 2025, at 6pm to hear the variance application of Powell’s by T. Brennan to use the property at 400 Fallbrook Road, Fell Township for the display and sales of heavy equipment in the S-1 Zoning District. Variance was approved.
  • The Fell Township Zoning Hearing Board has a hearing scheduled on August 6th, 2025, at 6pm to hear the Zoning Appeal for Anwar Kahn / ZAM ZAM Camping Grounds, LLC.   • Fell Township had requested a Traffic Study be performed on SR 171/Main Street.  Due to it being a state road, we were informed that PennDOT must request the traffic study.  We are presently trying to reach a PennDOT contact to discuss this request.  In the interim we are in the process of scheduling a traffic counter installation to collect volume, speed, and vehicle class on SR 171/Main Street. 
  • Pennies for Playgrounds will be hosting a free concert at Monkey Run Park on Thursday August 7th, 2025, from 6pm – 9pm, featuring The Wanabees.

  • Fell Township held a special meeting on June 12th, 2025, at 4pm for the Paving Bids to be opened & awarded.  Wayco Inc. was the lowest bidder and awarded the bid.  Bid results: Wayco Inc – $81,166.72, New Enterprise -$94,784.00, Kobalt – $95,000.00, Leeward – $96,540.00.
  • Shust Road was oiled and chipped by Wayco Inc. at the end of June.
  • The Fell Township Zoning Board Hearing for Richard Trichilo was on 06/03/2025 at 6pm and his variance application was approved for 761-773 Main Street Simpson, PA 18407 to construct a private accessory garage on a vacant lot without a principal permitted structure.
  • Supervisors to review and approve maps for a minor subdivision for Randy Wallis, Debra James, Gary Wallis, & Jeffrey Wallis – Crystal Lake Road.  Maps were signed by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 06/24/2025.
  • Supervisors to resign maps for the lot consolidation that was previously approved on 3/3/2025 for John & Rosemary Ofcharsky.  The surveyor did not meet the deadline to submit to Lackawanna County, so our supervisors need to sign and provide current date for submission to Lackawanna County.

  • Fell Township Supervisors met with Chief Bognatz and Mayor Bannon of Carbondale City.  We requested heavier patrol on Main Street /171 along with Jefferson Street due to the extreme issue with speeding in those areas.
  • Pennies for Playgrounds will be hosting its Annual Roundhead Classic Golf Tournament on July 26th, 2025, at Cricket Hill Golf Course.  Start is 1:30pm, Captain & Crew format.
  • Pennies for Playgrounds will be hosting a free concert at Monkey Run Park on Thursday August 7th, 2025, from 6pm – 9pm, featuring The Wanabees.

  • Fell Township has posted a notice to bidders for our 2025 Paving Project.  Bids will be accepted until June 12th, 2025, at 4pm.  There will be a special meeting on June 12th, 2025, at 4pm for the Paving Bids to be opened.
  • PennDOT will be tar and chipping Jefferson Street and Reservoir Street the week of June 2nd, 2025.  There will be no on street parking that week.  Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.

  • The Fell Township Zoning Board Hearing that was on 05/29/2025 for Richard J. Trichilo was continued to 06/03/2025 at 6pm due to lack of quorum.
  • Supervisors to pass Resolution Number: 06022025-1 appointing Janet Rusnak & Aarron Craparo as Zoning Hearing Board Alternates.  Janet Rusnak term ending 12/31/2029 and Aaron Craparo term ending 12/31/2028.
  • Supervisors to pass Resolution Number: 06022025-2 required by DEP to submit with the Sewage Facilities Planning Module for Joseph P. Kelly and Laura A. Lasavage/D&L Realty lot 11 Dundaff Street & Christopher and Nicole Lasavage/D&L Realty lot 12 Dundaff Street.

MEETING AGENDA FOR MAY 5TH, 2025 AT 7PM

  • On Tuesday April 8th,2025 in the Commonwealth Court of PA the appeal of Pioneer Aggregates/Clinton Properties regarding the Zoning Boards decision upholding the Townships notice of violation from November 30th, 2020, was heard. Decision is pending.
  • A Zoning Hearing was held for Matthew Spott on April 30th, 2025, at 6pm regarding his appeal application to convert St. Michaels church into multi-unit residential housing. It was approved by the Zoning Board by a vote of 4-1.
  • The Board of Supervisors will be adopting ordinance number 050525-1.  This ordinance pertains to utility contractors working on Township Streets.  It sets requirements of notification to the Township for work to be done, and proper traffic control.
  • The Board of Supervisors will be passing resolution number 050525-R1.  This resolution authorizes the Supervisors to apply for a Flood Mitigation Grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority in the amount of $241,680.00.
  • Review of Major Subdivision for Joseph P. Kelly and Laura A. Lasavage/D&L Realty lot 11 Dundaff Street. Maps were signed and approved by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 04/29/2025. Supervisors will be voting on a written request by the applicant to waive the Major Subdivision Engineers review.  The reason for the request is because only one new building lot is being created.  If the waiver is approved Supervisors will be signing maps.
  • Review of Major Subdivision for Christopher and Nicole Lasavage/D&L Realty lot 12 Dundaff Street. Maps were signed and approved by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 04/29/2025. Supervisors will be voting on a written request by the applicant to waive the Major Subdivision Engineers review.  The reason for the request is because only one new building lot is being created.  If the waiver is approved Supervisors will be signing maps.
  • Grattan Singer Hose Company will be sponsoring Fellstock on June 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2025 on the Fire Company Grounds.
  • Fell Township currently has a Burn Ban in effect until further notice.

A Zoning Hearing has been scheduled for Matthew Spott regarding the denial of his application to convert St. Michaels church into multi-unit residential housing. Hearing date is Wednesday April 30th, 2025 at 6pm at the Fell Township Municipal Building.

  • The agreement with Champions Recovery for Towing Services within Fell Township has been executed.
  • We did receive on March 3rd, 2025, our Liquid Fuels Funds in the amount of $92,728.40.
  • On Tuesday April 8th,2025 in the Commonwealth Court of PA the appeal of Pioneer Aggregates/Clinton Properties regarding the Zoning Boards decision upholding the townships notice of violation from November 30th, 2020, will be heard.

MEETING AGENDA FOR MARCH 3RD, 2025 AT 7PM

  • A special meeting was held on Wednesday 2/12/2025 at 2pm to vote on an Ordinance pertaining to collection of delinquent garbage and sewer fees.  Ordinance 02-12-2025-1 was approved.
  • The Township has been accepting proposals for Towing services for abandoned and illegally parked vehicles. We received one proposal by the deadline of 02/26/2025.  Champions Recovery will be the company used for towing services within Fell Township.
  • Supervisors to vote on Ordinance No. 03-03-2025-1.  An Ordinance requiring businesses within Fell Township to apply for and obtain a license.
  • Resolution to appoint Maria Borick to the Planning Commission to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Sharon Gauthie.
  • Workers Compensation Audit was conducted on 02/05/2025. No deficiencies were communicated.
  • Fell Township Annual Audit was conducted on 02/13/2025.  Final report has been received, and no deficiencies were found.
  • Fell Township will receive their annual Liquid Fuel Funds in the amount of $92,728.40 on 03/03/2025.
  • Review of Lot Consolidation request for John & Rosemary Ofcharsky for property on Evergreen Street & Whitmore Avenue Fell Township.  Maps were signed and approved by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 02/25/2025. 
  • Review of Major Subdivision request for Cerra/D&L Realty lot 13 Dundaff Street.  This was previously reviewed and approved but adjustments were added to map per Township Engineer review.  Maps were signed and approved by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 02/25/2025.  Signatures were also provided for sewage planning module application to be sent to DEP. 
  • Review of Minor Subdivision request for DeNike/Hartman Crystal Lake Road.  Maps were signed and approved by the Fell Township Planning Commission on 02/25/2025.

  • Township Annual Audit by Brian Kelly’s office is scheduled for 2/13/2025.
  • The Township submitted Annual reports to receive our 2025 Liquid Fuels Funds.

  • The Zoning Hearing Board held a hearing for John Scott on 12/17/2024 at 6pm.  He was granted a special exception to change the nonconforming use of the property located at 940 Main Street in Simpson, PA from a sawmill to an auto body, repair, reconditioning, service and detailing with conditions.
  • The blocked storm drain issue on Morse Avenue has been resolved. We were able to repair and open two drainpipes that terminate at the river which will help eliminate storm water problems. 
  • The 2025 Budget and Tax Resolution was passed at a Special Meeting on 12/30/2024.
  • Motion to pass Ordinance No. 1-06-25-1, an Ordinance making revisions to section 101 “No Parking Zones” of Chapter 17 Traffic & Motor Vehicles.
  • Motion to pass Ordinance No. 1-06-25-2, an Ordinance to replace Chapter 7, Fire Protection & Fire Prevention.
  • Liquid Fuels Audit for 2023 is schedule for Monday January 6th, 2025 at 9am.

Fell Township Supervisors will hold a reorganization meeting on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the Fell Township Municipal Building located at 1 Veterans Road, Simpson, PA, 18407.  The regular monthly meetings for 2025 will be held on the first Monday of each month except if it falls on a federal holiday then the meeting will be on the following Monday. The Planning Commission will meet the last Tuesday of each month. All meetings will be held at 7 PM. at the Municipal Building.

  • The Zoning Hearing Board has a scheduled hearing for John Scott on December 17th, 2024, at 6pm.
  • The Township experienced several down trees, power, and utility lines on Township streets from the storm on November 22nd.  DPW put in long hours making sure all roads were open and safe for travel.
  • DPW has been putting in a lot of time on Morse Avenue due to a blocked storm drainpipe that led to a subsidence. 
  • We have a tentative 2025 Budget in review.  A meeting date to adopt the budget will be forthcoming.

  • The Zoning Hearing Board met Tuesday October 29th at 6pm regarding the appeal of John Scott Main Street Simpson, PA.  Neither Mr. Scott nor his Attorney were in attendance.  The Zoning Hearing Board has rescheduled the hearing for December 17th, 2024, at 6pm.
  • Code Enforcement Officer attended the Hazard Mitigation Seminar in Lackawanna County on 10/30/2024. 
  • Fell Township sold our 2019 Chevy Silverado Dump Truck for $25,100 on 10/26/2024.
  • Fell Township is working with our Engineer and Attorney to negotiate with DEP on a solution to the Belmont Reservoir.  DEP is alleging that the wall is in danger of failing. 
  • The Pioneer Aggregates appeal of their case to the Commonwealth Court is still pending.  No date has been set.
  • Tuesday is Election Day, and the Polls are open from 7am – 8pm.
  • Fell Township Board of Supervisors Motion to review and approve for signature the maps regarding Jamie Hunter lot consolidation Jefferson Street, Simpson.  Both Local & County Planning Commissions have already signed and approved.
  • Pennies for Playgrounds, Non-Profit Group with the assistance from Fell Township has placed a Memorial Bench at Jefferson Street Playground.  It is an engraved flagstone bench in tribute to Four Township residents who were instrumental in the youth programs of Fell Township.  Stella White, John Borosky, Michael Petrilak, and Jerry Slick.  The flagstone bench and engraving were donated by J&J Stone Products.

  • Fell Township DPW has restored and repaired Shust Road due to flood damage from the storm on 08/18/2024.  DPW crew has also been working to restore and repair Buffalo Road, Wallis Road, and Baker Road.
  • WAYO Inc has completed the 2024 Fell Township paving project as of 9/30/2024.
  • Fell Township received the payment of $12,919.92 to be made payable to the Fell Township Fireman’s Relief Association.  Check was mailed to them from Fell Township on 10/1/2024.
  • Coalbrook Park Association has received a Grant totaling $50,000 from Representative Kyle Mullins office for park improvements.  They are presently receiving bids for a new roof, paving of parking lot, paving of walkway, and handicap bathroom accessibility.

  • Fell Township has a hearing scheduled in Scranton on August 13th, 2024, with Honorable Alyce Hailstone Farrell.  Fell Township vs. Pioneer Aggregates Inc. & Clinton Properties Inc. has been postponed due to ongoing settlement negotiations.
  • Supervisors to pass resolution to adjust the fee schedule for sewer enforcement issues.  Resolution number 09-09-2024.
  • Fell Township sustained varying degrees of flood damage on several roads within the Township including Shust Road, Buffalo Road, Wallis Road, and Baker Road on 08/18/2024.  DPW crew have been working to restore and repair the damage.  We received several calls from homeowners that also sustained significant damage as well.
  • The resurfacing of Baker and Pierce Road has been completed. The remainder of this year’s paving will be completed by 9/30/2024.

  • Awarding of 2024 Paving and Sealcoat project.  The lowest bidder was Wayco Inc. with a paving bid of $32,233.92 and Sealcoat bid of $53,532.36.
  • Andy Gorel and Maria Borick attended Coffee with the Commissioners at the Carbondale YMCA on June 21st, 2024.  The Commissioners and several other local officials from around the county were able to share discussions regarding issues that we all face throughout our communities.
  • DPW workers have been cutting back brush and trees around the Township streets.
  • Grattan Singer Hose Company monthly breakfast will be held on Sunday July 7th, 2024 from 8am-12pm. 
  • Pennies for Playgrounds will be hosting The Critchley Brothers Band on Sunday July 21st, 2024 from 2pm – 6pm.
  • Pennies for Playgrounds annual Roundhead open golf tournament will be held on Saturday July 27th, 2024 at Cricket Hill Golf Club at 1:30pm.

  • Pioneer Aggregates appeal to the Commonwealth Court of Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas decision upholding Fell Township’s Zoning Hearing Boards decision in the matter of the experimental mine reclamation they were performing at the Simpson Quarry is moving forward with no date for trial set at this time.
  • The only bid for the Ford F750 5-ton dump truck was accepted and purchased.
  • The Jefferson Street Park Paving Project bids were opened, and the job was awarded to the lowest bidder Nicks’s Excavating and Construction with a bid total of $81,274.50.
  • Pennies for Playgrounds will be hosting their first concert of the season at Monkey Run Park on Sunday June 23rd, 2024 at Monkey Run Park from 3pm – 6pm.
  • 2024 Paving & Sealcoat bids will be opened at tonight’s meeting.

  • Bids for a Ford F750 5-ton dump truck will be opened and reviewed at this meeting.
  • 2024 Paving & Sealcoat bids have been advertised.  Bids will be opened at the June 3rd, 2024, meeting.   
  • The Jefferson Street Park Paving Project has been put out to bid.  Bids will be opened on May 9th, at 2pm.

  • We received a favorable decision in the Land Use appeal of Pioneer Aggregates in Lackawanna County Court regarding the Zoning Boards Decision that their experimental mine reclamation was in violation of our Zoning Code.
  • The second Land Use case appealed by Pioneer Aggregates was upheld.  The Court ruled because no historical written decision by the Zoning Board could be produced.  Pioneer Aggregates were not subject to the conditions placed on their operation at the time the original permit was issued.   
  • The case in front of the Environmental Hearing Board of PA regarding Pioneer Aggregates appeal of DEP’s decision denying their experimental mine reclamation is still pending.

  • We have received the $61,110 in Grant Funds we were awarded for the Jefferson Street Park Infrastructure Project.  This will focus on paving the entry way into Jefferson Park.

  • The demolition project for Ontario Street has been awarded to Nick’s Excavating & Construction with a bid of $21,600.  Original low bidder G & R withdrew their bid.
  • T. Brennan’s has completed the Jefferson and Main Street Intersection Reconstruction Project. The road opened on 12/1/2023.
  • A Zoning Hearing was held on November 15th, 2023, at 6pm at the Municipal Building for Chelsea Cicio and Christopher Cicio seeking zoning relief to operate an automobile repair and inspection garage in an R2 zone. Zoning Variance was granted by the Zoning Board.
  • Fell Township DPW performed ditch cleaning and pipe repair on Old Baker Road.
  • Pass Resolution Number: 12-4-23-1 of 2023 establishing the Garbage Collection Fee & Annual Sewer Rental Fee.
  • Pass Resolution Number: 12-4-23-2 of 2023 establishing the Winter Maintenance Service Agreement between PennDOT and Fell Township.

  • Fell Township’s 2nd Paving Project has been completed by New Enterprise Stone & Lime CO.
  • Demolition continues at the Doyle and Roth property on Morss Avenue, tremendous progress has been made.
  • Fell Township has signed a contract with The Land Bank to secure the funding to demolish property on Ontario Street.  We are hoping to put it out to bid as soon as possible.
  • PennDOT has begun the restructuring for the Jefferson and Main Street intersection and should be completed by early November.
  • We are in the process of entering into an agreement with PennDOT to take over plowing on Reservoir Street and Valley View Terrance / Main Street in Richmondale.
  • We sold a 1975 non-operable Fire Truck for $1,600. The funds were donated to the Fire Company for improvements.
  • The new Coal Brook playground equipment that was donated is being installed presently by TCR Solutions with assistance for Fell Townships DPW crew.   
  • Immediately following tonight’s meeting there will be an informational session to help raise public awareness regarding rainwater runoff and the perils it creates for Chesapeake Bay.

  • Resolution Passed at a Special Meeting held on Thursday, May 25th, 2023, at 4pm approving Fell Township to apply for a grant of $300,000 through the DCED FMP Grant Program for Flood Mitigation and Stormwater Management in the 1st District of Fell Township on 43rd, 44th, and Farview Streets.  We submitted the application to the DCED on May 30th, 2023.
  • Paving Project Complete.  Total Cost of paving $184,714.40.
  • Garbage Bids to be opened. 
  • Fell Township vs. Kevin Thompson, we were awarded judgement of $12,236.23.  The defendant has made no effort to maintain or clean property. 
  • Doyle and Roth – Environmental Study Phase 1 is under review and a demolition contractor should be obtained by Doyle and Roth.
  • Jefferson Street Playground updates and repairs are currently in process.  The New Pavilion has been completed.  We are in the process of negotiating the plans for the other renovations that we will be using with the $61,000 Grant Funds.
  • UGI paving completed on Morse Ave and adjoining streets. Restoration work is still in process. 
  • There was a sewer emergency on Green Street that caused damage to a residence.  We believe this was caused by negligence from UGI and PA American Water and are pursuing this.  Our sewer line appears to have been damaged by both companies during work they performed.    
  • The culvert pipe on Old Baker Road will be completed by June 9th

Pioneer Aggregates is appealing the newest decision by the Zoning Hearing Board.

The Supervisors will be joining several others on a visit to the Pioneer Aggregates site of their mine reclamation project.

Lackawanna County is working with PA DEP to check for the presence of West Nile Virus from May to October. Collection equipment may be seen in the area. They ask that we leave everything we find as is so the can get proper data collection.

We are working with PennDot on a street widening project to make the bottom of Jefferson Street wider.

Pioneer Aggregates has appealed the first ruling by the Zoning Hearing Board. The second violation hearings are still ongoing with the next hearing Thursday at 6 PM at the Township building.

We received a grant to add a pavilion to the Jefferson Street park. We will meet with the architect soon to discuss different plans since we received much less money than anticipated.

We are still having major issues with Mascaro and the garbage pickup. Residents are urged to call both us and Mascaro at 18002437575 with their issues.

There will be a public meeting on Thursday, Dec 30 at 4PM at the municipal building. The 2022 budget will be considered for final adoption. Also, a new code of ordinances will be passed at the meeting.

The Zoning Hearing Board will hold an appeal hearing on Wednesday, December 22 at 6:30PM at the municipal building. The purpose of this hearing is to hear the appeal of Pioneer Aggregates about lapse in special exception permit.
